June 19 Eng 8 Final Exam Prep!

Today we completed the following;

3. Review of last 4 pages of your review package (1 poem & 3 stories)

4. Review of Exam Make Up

5. Final Marks will be posted on classroom door tomorrow – Thursday morning. You can come in at any point to discuss your marks Thursday. You may also collect your poetry books & also your Outsiders Newspapers at this time & or they will be given to you Friday.

6. Journals – final day! (other than exam day – bring your silent reading book on exam day!)

4. Homework check Final Exam Review Package. Most of you had your work complete, however, some did not have their booklets completed. We will be reviewing the last 4 (of 8) pages tomorrow.

5. Review of Final Exam Package in your 8 groups. 1 group per page. Class review of package.

6. Concrete poetry or shape poetry is poetry in which the typographical arrangement of words is as important in conveying the intended effect as the conventional elements of the poem, such as meaning of words, rhythm, rhyme and so on.

It is sometimes referred to as visual poetry.

·    Will not do poetry test – this will be rolled into the final exam

·    Large portion of test will be MC/Matching on Scan Tron (min 100)
·    Short Answer
·    Min 2 Paragraph Questions (you will have options to choose from)
